As great as some of the standard Sony Ericsson themes are, arguably the greatest ones have come from the burgeoning community of homebrew theme creators occupying the web on places like MMC Forums.
New themes released by these digtal Donatellos (the painter, not the Turtle) are quickly lapped up by legions of fans, eager to personalise their phones far beyond the manufacturer’s intentions.
Sony Ericsson has just made this process a lot easier with the release of the latest update to their Themes Creator Programme, currently on version 3.32. Now also available for artistically-minded Mac users, we hope to see an amazing bunch of new themes as a consequence. Why not try and create your own if you can’t find the perfect Dark Knight / West Ham mash-up?
My current W850i theme is just a mass of Donatello purple (the Turtle, not the artist) at the moment, so I could certainly do with something more aesthetically pleasing!
